Due to a mistake in the terms in the Antenna Criteria proposal which was missed by the prytania, it now means that if the proposal gets accepted, 72 Local BEST Groups, will de facto become part of our AEGEE Network.

The representing BEST officer Cecilija was shocked by this fact, but explained: “It was in our statutes that if we’d ever would be able to fulfill all antenna criteria of being an AEGEE-antenna, we would automatically become one.”

Gunnar remembers this being added to the CIA in Summer Agora Arnhem 2001: “Yes, I came up with the proposal for this myself. And because I was the only participant there, the motion was accepted.”

As of today, several cities have now 2 antennae. This will be resolved by slightly changing the name of the newly added antenna. The second AEGEE-Aachen will for example now become AEGEE-Aix-la-Chapelle, and the second AEGEE-Mainz-Wiesbaden will be called AEGEE-Wiesbaden-Mainz.

Charlie from AEGEE-Mainz-Wiesbaden already announced that to celebrate this, they will organize an AEGEE-Mainz-Wiesbaden-Wiesbaden-Mainz Exchange to get to know their new closest antenna.
